Ectoplasm (sbh)
Esper, the cat, has started leaking ectoplasm from her back end, but in other respects seems normal. She eats, drinks, purrs in the sun, and does all the ordinary things that a living cat might be expected to do. No obvious signs of zombie-ism anyway. We got concerned enough to take her to the vet, made an appointment, caught her, washed her, and took her there in the car. Throughout the entire time Esper complained vociferously, vocally, but not viciously. She was very good at the vet's, except that she preferred hiding under the chair to letting the vet probe her orifices. She even purred at one point. The vet found nothing wrong with her, but suggested we keep an eye on her for four things--loss of appetite (the first thing she did when we got back was eat a large plate of catfood), diarrhea, vomiting, and I forget the other. Anyway, other than this leakage she's acting normally and generally behaving like a cat--she's the most catlike of all our pets, really.
