I don't know what caused the glitch in that picture; it was fine when I viewed it, and when I went inside to edit the entry the picture was still there. I reloaded it anyway, and I'm seeing it fine anyway.
I've got nothing new to report that I can think of. The Syfy channel has a new version of Alice out, apparently an updated version with an adult Alice who teaches martial arts. I haven't seen it yet, but I think it's available online somewhere or other.
