A gray morning here on the coast, and wind blowing fitfully. Not destructively, thank goodness, and not constantly. Lucy (black, small white gloves, white boots) went out as a lady having a perfect right to go, weather regardless, and Molly (smaller, white with black Zorro mask, black back, markings) followed tentatively, then played joyously with the grass blowing and the dancing rosemary twigs ....
October, pumpkin month. In Colorado, month of bright leaves. Though the year draws toward its close, it's not a dire-seeming month, Poe notwithstanding. It's often crisp and bright, occasionally fog-bound and mysterious, nearly always energized.
No walk this morning, as it dumped a sudden rain, between no-rain threatening periods. We decided to stay cozy and dry, and to watch the weather. But I must go out soon this morning, pick up a prescription, and get a few groceries and gas. Onward--
