a wet Thursday morning

All's well here, though it's too rainy for the usual walk. The tulips are still gorgeous-- like painting objects, brush-strokes on the sides of orange, pink, yellow, dusky hint of blue. The last pic I sent-- what i thought was their last day-- they had opened out almost flat in the sunshine, but closed overnight as it was cooler, I suppose, and have stayed together and upright since, each morning a joy to look at. One or two have ended their bloom-- one in the big pot out front with the kale-- but mostly the blooming goes on. They tend to be all in the same color range, that basic peach color with the streaks-- no two alike, yet all of the same color-family, so to speak.

Very refreshing to look out and see such a stand of colors. The cats look up at the heads and sniff--taking in that this is a different thing in the garden, enjoying ...

Happy Thursday to all! Good to hear from Sage!
